Want to see why I haven’t been knitting these last two evenings at home?

Smut and Alfie
Even in this ambient (yellow) lighting, they are beautiful! They’re fraternal twins, obviously part Siamese and part long-haired domestic… and equally obviously gorgeous, stunning creatures! (OK, I’m a little bit biased. But these two are completely exclamation-mark-worthy!!)
Here’s a closeup of Smut:

Smut with glowing eyes... from the dirty sneakers?
I’d like to think his eyes are glowing with joy, but alas it’s the flash at work. It’s also the reason I didn’t use the flash in the other photos, which is the reason they’re a bit blurry.
Here’s a shot of Alfie with the BC12:

"Oh, yeah, right there!" purred Alfie.
As you have no doubt noted, Smut shows the seal-point Siamese coloration, while Alfie has the flame-point color scheme, so to speak.
I adopted the boys from a dear friend, who hated to give them up, but had no other option, as his condo has to be completely gutted and reno’d and his interim apartment doesn’t allow pets, so he has to find homes for at least 4 of his 6 kitties. He’s hoping to keep two of them, with two more still needing new digs. Anyway, he brought Alfie and Smut to my place Sunday evening and they’ve been settling in, getting used to the new people and apartment.
I knew my friend would be worried that the kitties hated it here and were still huddling under the couch, so I took a couple of pictures of Smut (the least shy of the two), to show him just how scared and nervous he was, after 24 hours here.
Wanna see?
Sure you do.

Poor terrified baby boy!
Sorry for the blurriness. Blame the lack-o-flash.
But wait, there’s more:
Alfie and Smut are so affectionate and sweet and, um, furry, and I love them both already. They are total sluts for the petting, too, let me tell you. It’s great! Expect many more kitty photos, folks, as they show their personalities and I have better lighting.

Despite the full-time kittiness at home, I added 13 rows to the baby aran’s front, reaching the shoulder split on the front, mostly by knitting on my lunch breaks Monday and today. If I don’t turn into a knitting slug, it shouldn’t take much longer to finish the front entirely, leaving only the sleeves and neck to be knit, then the finishing to do.
No new photos of the knitting today, as I couldn’t be bothered, not in the face of so much kitty glory. Sorry. (Not really.)

Congratulations – they’re gorgeous!
I love the boys! They are oh so sweet. ‘Specially Smut.
