I made these to be given with the Newborn Twisted Pumpkin hat (FO 14 this year) to a perhaps-already-born baby. Love the idea of these items warming a little body!
Yarn: Plymouth Yarn’s Dreambaby DK in color # 0136 (darkish blue), less than half a skein.
Needle: US size 4 circular
Improvised mitts (knit in the round) have a rolled wrist edge and 3 rows of ribbing, then stockinette, with shaping near the fingers. Crocheted chain as a drawstring on each.
Booties knit flat, based on a Lion Brand pattern whose name escapes me, but with the stitch counts modified, as my yarn was half the bulk of the one used in the pattern. Ah well, c’est la vie, n’est-ce pas? Crocheted chain as a drawstring on each.
