… look elsewhere.
Seriously.
It’s been a slow knitting week, although stitches have been made (and not frogged). I have reached the 80-percent-complete mark on my K1P1 scarf and I love the color shifts with all the passion that Noro Silk Garden yarn seems to inspire in many of us. Alas, my right hand doesn’t want me to knit for extended periods of time (i.e., not for as long as I’d like to keep knitting), so my progress there has been slower than on the last one of these scarves I knit. Good thing it’s not a contest, no? (Yes.) And this way, this slower-progress way, I get to enjoy the color shifts for longer periods of time before knitting the next combination.
I have done nothing more on the smock. It is frozen in time as it was in the last post… albeit folded up and put in a bag, then stuffed out of sight (out of mind) in another bag that I am not carrying around with me right now, thankyouverymuch.
I have been reading, three books since my last post, as you can see from the 2010 books-read part of the sidebar. I love reading! It’s a shame I must choose so often between pastimes. Sigh.
And I took a part of the (non-working!) weekend to do a little purring. OK, a lot of purring. OK, a really lot of purring. (Oh, my!)
What? Oh, yeah, I petted the kitty cats, too.
Too much ‘Nuff said?
Well, of course you patted the kitty cats! I’m sure they’d have had something to say about it if you neglected that part.
I’ve been having a reading kind of month myself- I think I’m on my fourth book this week alone. (Hence the lack of knitting photos on my blog!)
Don’t hesitate to post Noro scarf pictures! I love the color changes too, though I haven’t succumbed yet to the temptation to make one myself!
Sweetie: I done tole ya’, get the books on CD or tape and you can do both. You will really flip out with Kim Harrison’s books – you will HATE IT, HATE IT, HATE IT when they are over. Thank goodness there’s lot of them! I put my player in a pouch bag around my waist and don’t even mind vacuuming! …and that’s a saying a whole lot, too….
