After I wove in the ends on FO 16 (a.k.a. the K2P2 knot beanie), I tried to take a couple of pictures, using my cellphone camera. Here’s the best of the bunch:

I took seven or eight more, trying to get a better shot of the knot on top, but kept cutting off the top somehow. Until this really blurry shot:

And two or three tries later, I got a (bad) photo of the knot:

As I used a little more than half of a skein that had not been counted in my yardage before, I am adding this skein’s total yards to the 2010 tally. Why? Why not? After all, I’m the only one keeping count, so I may as well please myself. And seeing that number increase definitely pleases me.

How many stitches did you work the i-cord over? And was there a reason you didn’t decrease down to that number of stitches and work the i-cord as an extension of the top of the hat?
the i-cord was worked over 8 stitches and i did indeed decrease down to that number, then work the i-cord as you suggested. it was not an addition. sorry if my explanation wasn’t clear.
