Yarn: For the cups and hem: unknown brand (possibly) bamboo/cotton mix in a medium rose color, about 75 yds/69 m. For the skirt: Katia Fanny in color 21 (a tonal light rose), two 50g/1.75 oz skein (104 yds/95 m). Katia Fanny is 50/50 silk/viscose.
Needle: US-size 4 circular
Notes/modifications: I made the 12-month size, but I made it long enough to be a short sundress. The cups and hem are made out of the darker rose, following the pattern. The skirt (in the silk/viscose) is knit in the round in a simple lace pattern. I knit 2 rounds, then did a round of *K2tog, P1*, then one more round of K only. I repeated those four rows until I was afraid I would run out of the silk/viscose yarn, then switched back to the dark rose and did garter stitch for 11 rounds. On the 12th round, I bound off as if to purl. The final touch is a self-tie, crocheted from one strand each of the two yarns on a US size J hook, then threaded through the first round of lace “holes”, with the bow in the front.
Pretty!
