I'd use Eucalan (because I use it for all my handwashables), but if you don't have a no-rinse shampoo on hand, then either Woolite or a mild shampoo in lukewarm water should do the trick.

The baby sweater is adorable! Very clever closure. And for an extra-special bonus, I think the baby would be less likely to pull off the cords and try to swallow them than she would be a button!

Ooooooh! Gorgeous scarf! And the sweater is very cute- the two yarns really look great. (And I am *totally* with you on the instant gratification. I always want it now!)

Oooh, love the scarf! And even though I am not a fringe person, I would add it--I think it could really add a nice finishing touch to it.

I remember visiting my grandmother in FL and having her tell my mom and I to 'put sweaters on, girls, it's cold'. Of course coming from New England to FL in February it didn't feel especially cold to us! We couldn't convince her of that, though. But it's certainly not beach-and-bathing-suit weather, even for us! I know you get down into the thirties in winter and sometimes lower, much to the dismay of orange growers. (We actually had snow last week- which is quite early. Weird, weird weather this year.)

The scarf looks delightful!

Oh, so many emotions. Good for them, though, for facing this head on. Shows they have a sense of responsibility.

Also a mom of a 19 yr old,

Woo hoo!! Congrats! Thrilled and nervous--sounds about right for the 'rents and the Mimis/Gigis. Can't wait for pictures! One of my other friends talks about HER mom, who is usually known as SuperMimi for her ability to fix everything and generally enhance the life of her grands to the Nth degree--a role I see you filling wonderfully. Tell him I said congrats, and Hi to his brother also.
Love and Kisses
