Today is WWKIP day. That’s worldwide knit-in-public day. So where will you knit? And what?
I knit in public so frequently that my friends and immediate family think nothing of it. It’s just what I do while I’m sitting, ya know? (Well, not so much these last few weeks, but I choose to believe these last few weeks are the exception and not the new rule.)
Last year, I knit in a local Books-a-Million for more than an hour, while reading an open hardback book that was sitting in front of me on a table in the café. I think the project was a baby sweater, but I’m too lazy to check my own archives and figure it out right now.
This year, I’m on midnites, so I’ll be sleeping for most of those “in public” hours. Guess that means I’ll have to have a late dinner (breakfast to those of you who sleep at night) at a local restaurant, where I’ll whip out start some knitting and KIP for a while.
Now, what shall I knit?
Inquiring minds can feel free to guess. I’ll update you with the answer later, kittens.
Let me know if you KIP today… or any day. I’d love to know.
