The sock-knitting plan for today had some changes. To wit, I was able to knit for a couple of hours (around work) this morning, ’cause I’d been pulled from training for the first half of the day to cover another position. In that time, I added about 1.75 inches to the cuffs. I spent the second half of my shift in training jail, then worked 4 hours of OT. During that time, I didn’t knit, but this time by choice. Instead, I took advantage of the last two hours (by which time the workload had dropped off) to get caught up a bit on my blog reading and personal e-mail stuff.
I picked up the socks about 20 minutes ago and, after adding another 3 rounds, have discovered that my right hand is not having it. Nope, not gonna let me knit through 24. It’s tingling and achy, which means I’ll have to rest it for the evening.
And hope I can knit tomorrow.
For the record, the (unphotographed) socks now have 3.5-inch cuffs, measuring from the base of the K2P1 ribbing.
Hey there… Gayle’s friend, Judy, here (I met you at the Faire). I’m posting about the festival on my blog today and have some pictures for you, if you’d like them. They aren’t the best (next year I hope to have a better location).
I have to admit.. y’all were great! Thanks for a million laughs!
I’ll have to check that out. Thank you and it was good to meet you!
Hey, a belated congratulations on finishing the Kai!
Thanks so much!
