Arianna’s new sweater! It’s a little big for her now, but so cute!
Yarn: Bernat Baby Jacquard. It’s 90% acrylic/10% nylon. The colorway is called “I’m a Big Boy,” but it’s quite suitable for girls, too. The skein has 3.5 oz, which equals 346 yards, and I used about 3/4 of a skein. (That’s a guesstimate. I should have enough yarn left to do a hat, too.)
Needle: US size 3 circular (Addi turbo lace)
Mods: I decided to do the sleeves in the round, rather than flat (as the pattern calls for). The pattern is a learn-to-knit deal, and I don’t think the writer wanted to tackle in-the-round knitting in this project.
The pattern never specifies a target “size”, but it looks to me like it came out as appropriate for a baby of 6-9 months. Of course, we won’t wait that long to get it on Arianna, as that will be in August-October and therefore far too warm in Florida in most circumstances.
