I can knit again! I repeat: I can knit again!
I discovered in the early hours of this morning, while watching The Sound of Music on DVD, that the hand has healed enough to allow me to pick up the needles again. The result: shoe #2 is almost finished, lacking only the button/ankle strap. Oh, and a button.
Then again, I haven’t settled on the buttons for the smock yet and, of course, the shoes will have matching buttons, so “finished” is a relative term as it pertains to the shoes.
I may get the strap knit this morning before I go to sleep, but there’s no rush.
Not now that I can knit again.
Did I mention that I can knit again?!
Hey you! Glad the hand is in knitting form. In the 4 weeks since our move, I’ve managed to complete 3/4 of a pair of socks but there is so much to do after such a major move. Things seem to be going well for us – it’s great motorcycle riding around here, hubby doing well enough to go see a NASCAR race. There are still about 60 boxes to unpack (mostly books and stash) and as soon as the painters have finished those rooms I will actually be able to SEE all the stash instead of digging in tubs. Ummm, we will get to see the final results of smock and shoes with matching buttons, right?
