Pattern: Helena sweater from knitty.com
Needles: US size 6 circ and US size 2 circ
Yarn: 2 skeins of Bernat Satin Sport Solid in wine (221 yds each)
Notes/modifications: I worked only 6 repeats of the lace pattern, as my row gauge is looser than called for.
I ran out of yarn before completing the 7 rows of garter stitch called for on the neck and front edges. Instead, I had to settle for 5. And I didn’t have enough to knit the ties. After I bound off, I had about 20 inches of yarn left. (In all fairness, I probably would have had enough yarn if I hadn’t used part of the skein to complete FO# 12, the toddler twisted-pumpkin hat, before I started this project.)
I still have not decided what sort of front closure I will be using on the sweater, but I am calling it an FO nonetheless.
