Needle: US size 8 circular
Pattern: Improvised as I went along. The stitch pattern is made up of a section of 10 rows of K2P2 (on the right side) alternating with all knit stitches (on the wrong side), then a section of 8 rows of garter stitch. I repeated those two sections until the yarn was about to run out, then made three button holes and finished with 3 rows in pattern and then the cast-off. By sheer luck, the alternating sections of garter and non-garter balanced pretty darned close to perfectly from cast on to cast off. I found some metallic-finished buttons at Wally World and used 3 of them on the cowl.
The final dimensions (unblocked) are 22″ by 6″.
