I’m at the bindoff row and should have finished my Widdershins today, except for one leeetle-teeny-weeny thing:
That’s right, as I was knitting the next-to-last round, I noticed a split thread at the base of the ribbing.
“No problem,” said I. “I’ll just ladder down that stitch and fix it! Shouldn’t take too long, and then I can bind off! Tra la!” (Yes, I was thinking in exclamation marks at that point. Thanks for noticing!)
With a light heart, I laddered down to the affected stitch and, unfortunately, discovered that the problem is more than one stitch wide. Further examination shows it may be 3 stitches wide, which is a much larger (three times larger, in fact) pain in the arse to fix. It was during my 45-minute lunch break at work and I’d had high hopes of finishing the pair before going back to my post. Alas and alack, no.
In fact, I’m leaving it till tonight, when I’m off work and will be more rested and patient. (Well, one can hope, right? Right.)
For now, I leave you to have a wonderful Wednesday, while I go to bed. G’nite!
