… but this time it’s not for me. It’s a baby sweater!
It’s knit top-down. The pattern is called Eyelet Yoke Baby Cardigan and it’s by Carole Barenys. I did these first 23 rows last night and now my left forearm and hand hurt. Not because of the pattern, though.
I think it’s because I’d knit too much on Saturday morning after work, when I started a baby Einstein sweater out of this same yarn. About 50 rows into that, though, I didn’t think it suited this particular yarn. That pattern is all garter stitch and the jacquard part of the colorway just looked like random splotches, rather than a design. So I ripped back and dug around on the interwebs for a few minutes last night until I found this pattern. I think the yarn likes this and, more importantly, I think I’m gonna like it. Time (and more rows) will tell, though, so stay tuned for progress shots.
