Nope, not even one stitch did I knit since my last update.
Instead, I worked 8 hours of OT** at my local 9-1-1 center, wherein knitting is officially not allowed. Indeed, no crafts are allowed while on duty.
By the time I got home and commenced holding down the couch (someone’s gotta fight the uneven gravity in my living room, doncha know), I’d decided I was too tired to pick up the WIP and work on it. Especially since the next step involves picking up stitches (4 per sleeve cap, folks. Four!) and joining the yarn (the cut end, folks!) to start knitting the
fiddly little sleeve cap and figuring out when I want to stop said sleeves. It was just too much for my tired little brain to handle.
So I did the only sensible thing: I left the project in its bag and
wasted hours got caught up on the very important doings of my friends as chronicled on the book of Faces on the interwebs. It was a noble endeavor and I prevailed.
Look for more knitting on tomorrow’s post. I’ll be home tonight, saving the
world house from random FSP (floating-sofa phenomena) and making little sleeves on a little baby cardigan.
** That made 103 hours I worked in this two-week pay period, kittens. And if I may say so, “Woo-hoo for extra coinage!”
